Casa Balaguer, Salicorino Malvasia 2022

Casa Balaguer are based just inland of Alicante, and are now into their third generation of family vine growers. Continuing the hard work started by their grandparents over 65 years ago, their philosophy is simple: make amazing wine with as little human intervention in the winery as possible. This means first & foremost that absolutely everything is done to ensure the very best grapes are produced in the vineyard, all under the strict principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Salicorino Malvasia 2022 is an awesome orange wine made from 100% biodynamically farmed Malvasia. Intense yellow in colour, it has a vibrant nose of citrus fruits, peach and orange peel. Expressive and complex on the palate, with a pronounced saline character from the salty soils in which the grapes are grown. Medium bodied with a long dry finish. Ideal with fresh fish or rices dishes, as well as cheese.
